Today Is The Day To Praise The Lord!

Today I received wonderful news about a dear friend who is in a battle with cancer. The news gave encouragement and optimism. Those of us that have been walking through this battle with him felt like it was a great day to rejoice and praise the Lord. Early this morning I started a conversation with God:

Me: "God, I love you so much. I want to thank you for what you have done. It is a great day to give you praise!"

God: " You are welcome my child. I am pleased you are encouraged"

Then I paused, thought a moment and continued.

Me: "God? How are you different today than you where yesterday?.... The Bible says God is good ALL the time. I wonder, do you really deserve more praise today than the day we receive the terrifying news?"

God remained silent to let me ponder the questions in my head for a while.

Finally I replied to my own questions.

Me: "God, you are so good. Thank you for your goodness. Help me to remember that you are good all the time, regardless of what my physical eyes see. Remind me to praise you and rejoice every day. For you are always good. Thank you, Jesus, once again!"

God smiles and says, "Your welcome."
